The Pirateologist General

For as long as there have been boats, there have been people trying to steal those boats. Pirates span history, spreading commerce and multiculturalism in their wake. While the romance of piracy tends to ignore the obvious violence and savagery of the profession, the ideas of freedom, independance and self-sufficiency that are so much a part of piracy are ideas that resonate across all epoches of human civilization.

I have been studying piracy rather extensively for the past five years and am happy to be sharing the fruits of my labor with you, my reader.
